TGR Episode - The "All New" Twisted Gamer Radio

Hello everyone.  Glad you found us finally.  This will be the last of the "feed dump" episodes that I do.  "Feed dump".  Man that term I made up just sounds funny.  It's got a nice ring to it, but it also serves a purpose.  We're getting all of the cobwebs swept away from the recording equipment, computers, servers, podcast feeds, and everything else needed to bring you the Twisted Gamer Radio podcast.

We're doing it our way this time, with no limitations or internal hurdles what-so-ever.  We're not going to edit the podcast, we're not going to cut it down, we're going to give you the "whole hog" laid back views and opinions every week that we can.

All we ask is that you spread the word.  If you like Twisted Gamer Radio, us, our style, anything; tell a friend or two.  That's it.  That's all you have to do.  We appreciate you guys for sticking with us.  Now it's time for you to let your friends in on the "clubhouse of stupid".

We don't ask much from all of our former Loot Ninja followers, Twitter people, Facebook friends, or anyone who just randomly stumbled across us from Google, but now is the time.  Enjoy the podcast everyone, we'll be back next week for a brand new show.

On today's show:

- I have no idea. It's been so long since I listened to this.  I thought we would be able to just put the show up on Youtube and give it to people that way, but it was a little bit more involved in getting the podcast up.

TGR Episode - The Year End "Best Of" Show

Well, I'm testing some stuff out, trying desperately to get Twisted Gamer Radio back on the podcasting airwaves. It's been a long ass time, and don't know if I'm truly ready to get back behind the mic.

Don't worry, it's much easier this time around. I've already got all of the equipment. I've got web-hosting duties locked up for pretty cheap. I just need to figure this whole RSS/Blogger integration/iTunes bullshit out.  Here's hoping this all works.

I'll be running some tests over the coming days to make sure things are running smoothly. For now though, I'll start you off with one of my favorite episodes we ever did, just showcasing how stupid, retarded, and weird we are behind a few microphones.

Video Games That Should Be Made!

Video games as an art-form are at an all-time high and with the next generation of consoles coming out in the near future I can only see the popularity rising. These are just a few ideas that I just came up with that I feel would make some pretty cool video games or DLC.

1. Zombie DLC for GTA IV or GTA V

The zombie pack for Red Dead Redemption (Undead Nightmare) was amazing, and is how you do zombified DLC.  Just think of how Niko Bellic could ride through Liberty City and instead of pedestrians and street whores there are zombies everywhere.

I feel that just having zombies all over the place while you ride through the city would be fun enough, but then having a variety of missions where you have to save people that will help you get rid of all the zombies would put it over the top.  I'm thinking something to the extent of overloading the nuclear reactors to destoy the entire map before the zombie horde spread to the entire planet sort of thing. Sounds awesome.

2. 1600's Salem Witch Trials

You're in 1600's America.  You're a detective trying to figure out who is a witch and who is not. You're an investigator that ends up staying in a creepy town like Silent Hill that has a lot of weird things going on and everyone blames these supernatural occurrences on witches. You don't know who to trust and who not to trust.  One of your companions could turn out to be a witch all along and you've given her half of your supplies to hang onto as well as your only gun.

Of course there's got to be bunch of spooky scenes as you walk through the woods in a dense fog trying to find the old ladies house made of moss just outside of the village. IT SOUNDS GOOD TO ME!  Where can I sign up for the patent on this one... I like it!

3. Cabela's Big Hunter Hunt: 2013

We've seen handfuls of the tried and true hunting game, but we have yet to see the view from the animals' perspective.  Just imagine the tension as you traipse your 4 hooves through the forest underbrush anticipating a shot from any angle.  You dip your head down for a drink of water or see the luscious treat of some deer salt;  a temptation that weakens your knees.  Do you head for the deer salt and risk safety?  What is that large grey spot up in a chair-like apparatus attached to a tree?  Click over to deer vision.  You don't have much time to assess the situation and get to safety.

This game would be awesome. That's all that need to be said.  More to come soon!

Top 7 Reasons Why Virtuosity Would Make A Good Video Game

If you were around during the 90's, you’ve probably seen this techno/virtual reality movie from 1995 in the Netflix instant streaming queue on the Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii.  It’s your typical future-esque internet movie with all the right actors.  Denzel Washington, Russelle Crowe, and the gorgeous Kelly Lynch are all featured.  So what could go wrong with it?  Well, the movie is flat-out campy, retarded, and completely over-the-top.  It's not Sandra Bullock's The Net bad, but it’s still a fun movie for a late Friday night, even 15 years later.

If you haven’t seen the movie Virtuosity, please do yourself a favor (and mine), and go watch this bad boy right now.  I even like to invite some friends over and break out the old Virtuosity drinking game.  Every time they say “SID or SID 6.7″ or Denzel's character name “Parker” or “Barnes”, take a drink.  You’ll be drunk by the 10 minute mark. I swear they use these words to just fill space.  Yes, we've been watching the movie for an hour now, yes, we know that Denzel's character is "Parker".  This makes it simply one of my favorite movies.

Let's Get This Party Started......Early!

We all see crazy shit on our drive to and from the workplace.  Hell, it could be any time we get behind or in a car.  From the random homeless dude panhandling for money then turning around to piss on the sidewalk, to the twenty something chubby chick high on ecstasy with a pacifier in her mouth, we've seen a lot of things.    But what I saw the other day was just wrong.  Plain and simple. W-R-O-N-G.
