TGR Episode 13 - Ramblings, Fun Times, and Hot Coffee
Hey guys, hope you enjoyed all of the panels from last year's Gearbox Community Day. We're only a few days away from the huge day, and already my cockles are already tingling with excitement. That means we are just that much closer to the Borderlands 2 release and launch party. I've got a couple of good friends coming in from out of town, so I didn't really have a lot of time to put the show together this week. Enjoy though, it's mostly just ramblings and a few stories.

Gearbox Community Day 2011 - Borderlands Panel
We're only a few weeks away from the second Gearbox Community Day on Sept. 15th, and what better way to get pumped up and excited for the panels and the Borderlands 2 launch party extravaganza than to go back and listen to last year's Borderlands panel. If you missed out on all of the previous panels from that day, you can click these links to go back and listen (Aliens: Colonial Marines, Borderlands, Brothers In Arms: Furious 4, and Duke Nukem Forever) but for now enjoy the long, gazillion gun-filled panel for Borderlands.
Now there is no rhyme or reason to which order they'll go up in, so you better check back in with the podcast feed to get updated. I have a feeling that the game that's getting the sequel and launch party will go up last.
So sit back, relax, and take in all the loot chest filled goodness of the Borderlands panel.

Gearbox Community Day 2011 - Aliens: Colonial Marines Panel
We're about a month out from the second Gearbox Community Day on Sept. 15th, and what better way to get pumped up and excited for the panels and the Borderlands 2 launch party extravaganza than to go back and listen to last year's panels. I'll eventually put up all of the panels for the games talked about over the course of that day (Aliens: Colonial Marines, Borderlands, Brothers In Arms: Furious 4, and Duke Nukem Forever) but for now enjoy the dark, scary, and xenomorph filled panel of Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Now there is no rhyme or reason to which order they'll go up in, so you better check back in with the podcast feed to get updated. I have a feeling that the game that's getting the sequel and launch party will go up last.
Due to some legal reasons (at the time), I had to edit out the audio for the gameplay demonstrations (left the recorder running). Since it's been over a year and the demo shown off for Aliens: Colonial Marines has since been shown off publicly (you can head over to IGN to check it out if you want), I still don't know yet if it's okay to post that stuff. I'm also just lazy and don't want to go back into my archive and hunt down my original un-edited file, so you'll just get stuck with this one (just in case it's still not "okay" to have that gameplay audio and commentary).
Sit back, relax, and take in all the alien goodness of the Aliens: Colonial Marines panel.

TGR Episode 12 - The "Compacted" Episode
We haven't really done an "official" show in quite some time now, so I decided to give a brief update, tell a few things I'm going through at the moment, and basically rant on a few things gaming. I even ask for advice on a certain Xbox Live issue with a "former friend". No fucked up news today, but I make up for that by doing a double Sound Clip Corner. Enjoy! Plus, I'll be posting the second edition of the Gearbox Community Day.

TGR Episode 10 - Playing Video Games Is "Not Normal" Apparently
Due to a slight scheduling problem, we had to record the podcast a little bit late this week. We did get around to doing it, so strap in and get your ear-holes ready. Do we have a bombshell for you guys today. Dalyn and I discuss a myriad of issues going on with the gaming industry, how it's "not normal for a man in his 20's to play video games", and talk about skeeting and taking a dump on a chicks face just to get her to blink. Does this interest you? Then you need to listen to the brand new episode of Twisted Gamer Radio.

TGR Episode 5 - The Best Little Gaming Podcast In Texas
Yep. That guy is probably from Texas.
It's been a whirlwind of a week here in the Twisted Gamer household. I sold a car I've had for 10 years, I finally got all the money needed to make beer, and I'm ramping up for a big cookout for Memorial Day. On today's show, we get back into the heat of things and talk about digital prices being the same on launch day as a retail copy of the game, EA's got a scheme not unlike something we've seen before (*cough* Call of Duty Elite), and we touch briefly on E3 2012 coming up in a few weeks.
On today's Twisted Gamer Radio:
- Why Do They Charge The Same (Retail vs. Digital)?
- EA Closing Official Battlefield 3 Servers
- No Valve Announcements At E3 2012
- Rumor: Xbox 720 Already In Manufacturing
- Fucked Up News: Man Trades Video Game Cheats For Child Porn
- Sound Clip Corner: Crazy Woman Rants About Gays and When Slappin' A Bitch Goes Wrong

Goodbye Old Friend.......
I never thought this day would happen. That one day I would do this. But alas, I went and did it.
I was one of the very few who held on for as long as I did, but sadly, it was time to say goodbye. And the amazing thing is, the story of how it came to be, is just as interesting as it came to go out. I bequeath my torch unto "66" and my good buddies Chris and Dave, as well as Paul from the MINI club. Everyone I know from the "original" group has either sold theirs or moved on to MINI 2.0 or 3.0.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a MINI. In my circle of friends (both through acquaintances, family friends, distant relatives, and new ones), I became the guy with the MINI. Every time I would see these people after a long hiatus, I was always asked, “Hey! Do you still have that little MINI Cooper?” And like clockwork and without missing a beat, I would always say, “Yep, still got him.”

TGR Episode 4 - The Xbox Sucks Rap Vol. 3
Every once in awhile something gets inside Dalyn's ass and he has to write lyrics for an Xbox Sucks Rap. We did it long ago, and we're up to Volume 3 now with his incredibly funny renditions. I even poke fun that with all of the gangsta rap that came out back in the day, they wrote from the heart, about their upbringing in the 'hood and rapping about the hardships they had to go through. Dalyn's hardships are having to put up with a "lackluster piece of shit system" called the Microsoft Xbox 360. Enjoy today's show kiddies. It's a doozie!

Sometimes Immersion Goes Too Far
I love AAA title video games. Well, most of them. Some franchises today are considered AAA only because they made it to the second or third iteration in a franchise. By that time gamers have figured out the formula and it's just gotten to the point of being stale (I'm looking at you Killzone 3, Gears 3, and Uncharted 3). Being a AAA title doesn't immediately mean you'll have a great story (Killzone), great writing (Gears), or great gunplay (Uncharted) in your game.
Let me be clear though: I don't want my little gripes to get lost in the fact that these are still great fucking games, and well worth your money and time, even if they have little flaws.
